Many people calling and emailing us asking for a website with a 2 or three day turnaround. While sometimes we are able to turn a website around in these times, we do not agree with rushed work. Before we build a website we like to research its competitors and gather as much market information as possible. A website is far more than what you see when you visit its pages, yes the look and feel is important but its the work done behind the scenes that really makes a difference. We had heard from many individuals in the web design industry that some of the tools and simplified design of Windows 7 aided itself to web design. They were not wrong! We love some of the new features like the ability to pin programs to the taskbar. We have also found compatibility mode to be very helpful as we can run multiple browsers in different operating systems to test our websites for cross browser compatability. You can even specify how much ram to give virtual machines! It would seem that many users are damaging their laptops internal power socket. This is quite a costly repair as it involves complete disasembly of the laptop and then some direct soldering on the laptop motherboard. The machine boasts Dual DDR3 1gig nVidia graphics cards linked via SLi, 6 gig of DDR3 1600 memory and utilises AMDs latest AM3 architecture. Page file sizes have been reduced by up to 40% on most pages, we have also put quite a lot of effort into search engine optimistation. The next step once we have made all the aesthetic changes is to use a universal CSS sprite image and minimise our CSS and javaScript files. The booking system benefits from a simple user interface and fast booking procedure. Unlike the many other systems out there ours is easy to use and very secure. It seems the off the shelf solutions that are commercially available are causing frustration to many users. A few of the main issues seem to be that these systems are overly expensive, difficult to use and are designed for the overseas market(primarily America). We intend to make a system that simplifies the day to day running for the Administrators and an easy booking and room search function for guests. Security has been tightened and we have adopted a new form of encryption, obviously we can not disclose any more information on this. The system is now modular allowing us to simply "bolt on" features. So after much wait and cups of tea here it is. The site is designed to make finding information easy and showcase what we can do and have done. You may notice that we have not gone down the route that many other web design companies have with the use of Flash (moving images) and lots of images. We can create sites like that however we really wanted to focus on content and ease of use.
